Ingredients

Blackberry Simple Syrup (prep ahead!)

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups blackberries

For the Cocktail

  • 3 parts prosecco
  • 2 parts aperol
  • 1 part blackberry syrup
  • 1 part club soda
  • ice cubes for servings
  • fresh blackberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Blackberry Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and blackberries. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, and simmer for 5-10 minutes until the mixture thickens. Strain to remove solids and store the syrup in a jar. Wait until cool and put it to the fridge.
  • Prepare the Ice: You'll need plenty of ice cubes for your cocktails, so make sure you have enough for the party. You can buy ready ice cubes or make ice yourself using themed ice molds. I highly recommend purchasing 3D Skull Ice Molds or similar Halloween ice molds and making themed ice for your Halloween party!
  • Make the Cocktail: In a glass, on top of ice cubes add Aperol, blackberry simple syrup, Prosecco, and club soda and stir gently.
  • If you use skull-shaped ice, you can change the order, adding blackberry syrup last. Pour it over the skull-shaped ice cubes as a part of the spooky cocktaik presentation to impress your guests.
  • Garnish: Top with fresh blackberries for that extra Halloween flair!
